I have loved reading about the people who are singing these songs, and about the experience you had recording them. I love “The Gate” and “Did You Know?” So beautiful. What a cool experience to have, recording such amazing songs like this, with someone that does independent recording. The industry is so crazy, that this is a really unique way to do it. Garry, your voice is beautiful, and it has really touched me to listen to these songs. It makes me happy to see what kind of great time you had doing this. Thank you for sharing your testimony through music.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1585513383255536681.post-86646684637019768812009-12-30T20:11:32.433-08:002009-12-30T20:11:32.433-08:00The Gate is my favorite favorite song. You must be sugar-coating for us:) I did want to tell you that your songs on the CD are my three favorites… I love them. Thank you for the spirit that your voice brings on the album. There is something very special about The Gate. I bought twelve CDs, and gave them away to a lot of friends and family. After a week or so of hearing everyone rave to me, I asked everyone what their favorite song was, and almost everyone said “The Gate.” Your voice was absolutely perfect for that song. The She-wolfhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14599715384898662004noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1585513383255536681.post-12394552701272637052009-12-16T21:16:53.521-08:002009-12-16T21:16:53.521-08:00This brings back some memories (that I have been t...This brings back some memories (that I have been trying my best to put behind me... haha!) about the recording. Most of the vocalists would sort of "respect the mic." What I mean by that is, they would try to be silent during the interludes, etc. Garry, on the other hand, filled his with a hispanic guy named Omar, a Montana hick called Jeroboam Wiggins, various Harry Potter jokes and a whole lot of laughter. It didn't matter for the recording, because I silence those parts anyway, so that there are no page turn sounds, breathing, throat-clearing, etc. But it did make for some pretty funny playback, especially if you played back multiple takes at once. It sounded like a party was going on during the breaks:)

And was it really only eight months that you lived with us? It seemed like sooooo much longer!Victoriahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18117057526022675337noreply@blogger.com
